我們發(fā)現(xiàn),雅思寫(xiě)作成績(jī)?cè)诳忌乃捻?xiàng)成績(jī)中往往是最低的,雅思閱讀7分而寫(xiě)作5分的考生比比皆是。朗閣海外考試研究中心的雅思培訓(xùn)專家分析認(rèn)為,原因有以下幾個(gè):首先,考生對(duì)中英文表達(dá)的準(zhǔn)確切換沒(méi)有理解把握好,里面充斥著大量的漢式英語(yǔ)。在和學(xué)生接觸的過(guò)程中,我發(fā)現(xiàn)很多同學(xué)去背誦一些所謂的雅思詞匯卻不知道如何正確使用,就會(huì)出現(xiàn)表達(dá)生硬,用詞不當(dāng)?shù)那闆r。其次,就是思路由于缺乏必要的知識(shí)面而無(wú)法拓展。事實(shí)上在烤鴨們備考的過(guò)程中做閱讀得高分的同時(shí)也可以訓(xùn)練自己的寫(xiě)作方面。其實(shí)所謂的難詞并不是幫助學(xué)生在詞匯方面獲得高分的決定因素,而是準(zhǔn)確恰當(dāng),符合英語(yǔ)表達(dá)習(xí)慣的詞匯和詞組才是關(guān)鍵。那如何入手呢?
策略一:熟悉考試話題并摘抄有用詞匯
比如下面這兩道雅思寫(xiě)作真題:
Some people think they have right to use as much fresh water as they want, others, otherwise believes governments should strictly control the use of fresh water as it is limited resource. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Some languages are increasing in use, while many others are declining. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?
顯然,烤鴨們可以很快地說(shuō)出這兩個(gè)考題的內(nèi)容與劍橋7和4上的閱讀非常相近。恍然大悟之余,這兩篇文章中的優(yōu)美詞匯就可以做個(gè)摘抄:
比如說(shuō)在劍橋7 Test1 Passage1中,文章的標(biāo)題是Making every drop count, 說(shuō)的就是要節(jié)約用水,有很多詞匯可以摘抄:manipulate water resource/ innovative layout of pipes and well-built sewers/ despite our progress, half of the world’s population still suffer/ more than one billion people lack access to clean drinking water/ some two and a half billion do not have adequate sanitation services/ the consequence of our water policies extend beyond jeopardizing human health/ more than 20% of all fresh water fish species are now threatened or endangered because dam and water withdrawals have destroyed the free-flowing river system
同樣,針對(duì)第二道題目,劍橋4 Test2 Passage1也可以為烤鴨們提供很多有用的詞匯:the native language is dying/ most of speakers are mid-aged or elderly/ Navajo is far from alone./ half of the world’s 6800 languages are likely to vanish within two generations/ never before has the planet’s linguistic diversity shrunk at such a pace / it was a mass extinction/ Navajo is considered endangered despite having 150,000 speakers
好的詞匯真是不勝枚舉,朗閣海外考試研究中心的老師以上列出了部分與這兩個(gè)考題相關(guān)的詞匯是為了說(shuō)明:烤鴨們要非常熟知雅思議論文所涉及的考點(diǎn)和話題,這樣在做閱讀文章后就可以對(duì)已經(jīng)完成相關(guān)練習(xí)的文章進(jìn)行話題規(guī)整并進(jìn)行單詞摘抄,同時(shí)又可以學(xué)到地道的表達(dá)方法,避諱中式英語(yǔ)表達(dá)。
策略二:寫(xiě)讀書(shū)筆記
這樣做的優(yōu)點(diǎn)是可以把剛才已經(jīng)摘抄好的單詞學(xué)以致用:因?yàn)閱卧~必須在特定的語(yǔ)言環(huán)境或語(yǔ)境下才能掌握,才能在考場(chǎng)時(shí)間那么緊的情況下完成相應(yīng)的寫(xiě)作任務(wù)。還是列舉劍4的那篇文章,烤鴨們可以把這篇文章分為兩個(gè)小點(diǎn)來(lái)寫(xiě):造成瀕危語(yǔ)言現(xiàn)象的原因及這樣的現(xiàn)象帶來(lái)的消極影響和如何保護(hù)它們。事實(shí)上仔細(xì)看文章的話,這兩個(gè)脈絡(luò)非常清晰:
原因:Navajo is considered endangered despite having 150,000 speakers. What makes a language endangered is not just the number of speakers, but how old they are. If it is spoken by children, it is relatively safe. The critically endangered languages are those that are only spoken by the director of the …/ why do people reject the languages of their parents? It begins with a crisis of confidence when a small group finds itself alongside a larger, wealthier society/ people lose faith in their culture/ they can not refuse to speak English if most commercial activity is in English…
消極影響:Language is also bound up with culture, so it is difficult to preserve one without the other. /the loss of diversity may also deprive us of different ways of looking at the world.
保護(hù)它們:Preservation can bring a language back from the dead/ they are examples of languages that have survived in written form and then been revived by later generations.
當(dāng)烤鴨們筆記寫(xiě)到這樣的程度就可以將以上內(nèi)容按照三個(gè)段落書(shū)寫(xiě)并填充相關(guān)的內(nèi)容,甚至還可以百度一下全球一些在這些方面做的比較出色的例子。
同理對(duì)于劍橋7的那篇文章,烤鴨們發(fā)現(xiàn)全文講了兩個(gè)大的方面:水資源匱乏所帶來(lái)的問(wèn)題及其如何應(yīng)對(duì)。那么烤鴨們?nèi)绻趥淇紩r(shí)正好做過(guò)相關(guān)的讀書(shū)筆記,那么高分真是志在必得。
請(qǐng)看所帶來(lái)的問(wèn)題:yet there is a dark picture/ more than one billion people lack access to clean drinking water/ preventable water-related disease kill an estimated 10,000 children every day/ more than 20% of all fresh water fish species are threatened or endangered because dams and reservoirs have destroyed the free-flowing river system where they thrive/ groundwater aquifers are being pumped down faster than they are naturally replenished
相關(guān)措施:people have figured out how to use water efficiently/ thanks to a range of technologies that help to conserve water in homes and industry/ communities are rethinking their priorities for water use
運(yùn)用這兩段的筆記內(nèi)容,就可以順利完成寫(xiě)作了。
